Fall 2018 8th Ward Dems Meetings & Election 11-6-2018
The 8th Ward Dems will meet on September 20, 2018 and October 18, 2018, at 7:30 pm at St. Margaret of Scotland Church in the church basement. 39th & Flad. Childcare provided. (Meetings are on the third Thursday of the month in the months when we meet.)
Last day to register to vote in the November 6th, 2018 election is October 10, 2018 (postmark date if you are mailing in a registration).
The thoughts expressed here related to some of the discussion at our 8th Ward Dems meeting yesteday evening (3rd Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018). Jeanette Mott Oxford is a former Missouri state representative who represented part of the 8th Ward and received our endorsement when she ran for election.
Meeting Date: 2/15/18
Call to Order at 7:35 pm. Chairman Marc Stoff started the meeting by stating that the EWIDA would continue to work for the values it always has, supporting the rights of working people and the poor, and supporting Democrats.
Minutes of Previous Meeting were read by Marc Stoff,
Chairman. It was moved & seconded to approve the minutes, motion carried.
Committeeman Report:Paul Fehler briefly thanked everyone who supported him during his
campaign, and stated that he plans to continue to be around for a long time. He
then had to leave (sick child).
Barbara Beck was tied up accepting new memberships and signing people in to the
meeting, and asked for her report to be passed down the agenda
